I
started practicing yoga in 1995. Yoga gave me a calm feeling
that I wanted to keep experiencing. I began daily practice and
found a great mentor in P. J. Heffernan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
My first teacher, Kelly Cook, is a Sivananda style Hatha Yoga
teacher. I moved into an Iyengar style practice in Wisconsin.
When the class I attended in Wisconsin was to be cancelled,
I took over teaching the class. I found that I liked teaching
because it is so very rewarding to help someone feel better
about them self. I strongly believe we are all unique and special
individuals with something wonderful to contribute to this world.
Yoga helps us all to reach our potential and be happy in ourselves.
It has been my pleasure to study with Ana Forrest, Aadil Palkhivala,
Judith Lassater, Gabriel Halpern, Natasha Rizopoulos, Andrey
Lappa, Darlene Blink, Sharon Gannon, David Life, Desiree Rumbaugh,
David Stringer, Saul David Raye, and Shiva Rae. I also currently
teach classes at Darton College in Albany, Georgia.
